Industrial fire shutter model
The FM-E60-240 fire resistant roller shutter doors are purposely designed for larger openings outside the range of the E60-240 model. The FM-E60-240 is designed to give up to 240 minutes of fire protection, with a multitude of fixing options certified and available to satisfy the current fire regulations.

| W – Reduction of thermal radiation |
This is the ability of a test component to resist fire exposure on one side only, so as to reduce the probability of the transmission of fire as a result of significant radiated heat either through the element or from its unexposed surface to neighbouring objects. |
All of the above parameters are followed by a time limit in minutes. The number after a given symbol shows the time the performance criteria is fulfilled during a standardised fire test, eg. EI120, EW60, etc.

Activation Methods
The primary activation method for fire shutters is via the main fire alarm system. The signal from the fire alarm is routed via one of the below control units, giving the shutter a command to close.
In situations where there is no main fire alarm panel we can provide a standalone system that activates the fire alarm via one of the methods below as indicated with a * (please note for a standalone system an Audio Visual FDI panel is required).
Standard Fire Door Interface Panel
Supplied with all electric single phase shutters the unit transforms 240V power into safe 24V ensuring safety for the operator at all times. The unit is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) The LED on the front of the panel has a colour code as follows:
- Amber when mains power is detected
- Green when opening the shutter
- Red when the shutter is closing
The control unit can also be connected via a continuous volt free signal to a fire alarm to open or close the shutter when the alarm is activated

The FCP03 interfaces directly with the fire alarm on the premises and provides the fire-resisting roller shutter with the intelligence to close in the event of an emergency situation, protecting both occupants and premises from exposure to smoke and flame damage.

There is no need for a separate relay; there is already a relay in the FDI. On activation from the fire alarm the unit starts to flash and sound, this unit contains a programmable timer which effectively delays the signal to the relay in the panel to close the door.
